Back to the Beginning

by

Back To You is going back to the beginning tonight and re-airing the first ep. I’m not sure I think that’s a good idea. For one thing, it was pre-empted last week for the World Series. (And what’s up with that anyway? Why does Fox have to show baseball games for weeks? Aren’t there plenty of sports-oriented channels that can do that? I mean, there are people out there, I’m sure, that really care about stuff like the World Series. I’m not not one of them, so why should I have to suffer and miss out on what I want to watch? People that care already watch the sports channels, they don’t need to steal my channel to watch sports. Whatever. It’s just a little pet peeve of mine.)

Anyway, back to Back To You and the non-wise decision. Perhaps they feel that since it’s Halloween, not too many people will be watching tv tonight. Well, they’re wrong, cause I’ll be watching, not being nor having any little kids, and my entire neighborhood being more old people than young, I have a pretty free night in front of me. Watching tv, eating the candy I bought, just in case, and dealing with the dogs on the rare occasion small voices yell out “trick or treat” from my porch.

Maybe they (just who are “they” anyway?) feel that by showing the first ep again, they can interest people who have not yet seen the show to start watching. I say, nay, nay. If that is the aim, then they should show the ep on another date and time, to attract people who aren’t already watching. Cause you know, if they aren’t normally watching Fox at 8 pm on Wednesdays, they mostly likely won’t be watching tonight either.

In any case, I’ve already seen it, so I won’t be watching it again. Well, maybe I’ll just tune in quickly to see Gary get blown away by the wind, cause that was funny.
