Bobbing for Sitcoms
![]()
Last night I watched a marathon of The Bob Newhart Show on TV Land. You can watch full eps of the show on their site, here, in case you missed it. Also, dvds of the first four seasons are available at Amazon and DeepDiscount.com.
For those of you who care, The Bob Newhart Show was a comedy which aired from 1972 to 1978. It should not be confused with the variety show of the same name which aired from 1961-1962.
Bob Newhart also starred in Newhart from 1982 to 1990. I loved that show, too (”This is my brother, Darryl, and my other brother, Darryl.”) I remember the last episode, which ended with Bob waking up in bed with his wife from the previous series, played by Suzanne Pleshette, and saying that the whole thing was a nightmare, ala Patrick Duffy’s death on the primetime soap, Dallas.
TV used to be so funny.

Ahhh I remember that last episode too and I thought that was true television genius.
