Christmas is Coming!!

by Toni

advent-calendar1.jpgOnly 18 more days until Christmas!!! I can remember when we used to say that there were only so many more shopping days until Christmas, cause the stores were closed on Sunday. Now, of course, one can shop all day and all night 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I’m pretty sure this is an improvement, but sometimes I wonder.

In any case, I was sharing my Amazon wishlist with my family this week and I was checking out the new DVDs. I also saw lots and lots of stuff on sale - whole seasons for under $20.

Of course, the point to all this is, hurry up and order so that you’ll have your stuff (I love that word . . . stuff, stuff, stuff) in time for Christmas. Here’s a link to Amazon’s New and Future Releases page.

And here’s a sample of some the DVDs:

Dec 4, 2007
Pirates of the Caribbean - At World’s End
24 - Season 6
Battlestar Galactica - Razor
Superbad
Will and Grace - Season 7
Law and Order: SVU - Season 4
Seventh Heaven - Season 5

Dec 11, 2007
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
High School Musical 2
Lost - Season 3
Fraiser - Season 10
Beverly Hills 90210 - Season 3

Also, you might want to check out some new music to share with friends and family. CDs do make great stocking stuffers. May I recommend Chris Sligh (from American Idol fame)? I put a link up to his myspace page on my other blog and he was kind enough to comment. It was cool, like we’re buds now or something. *giggle* Anyway, I really enjoy the CD he put out with his band, Half Past Forever, titled Take a Chance on Something Beautiful. You should go take a listen to that and to Chris’ myspace page.

WHAT?!?! Only 18 more days?!?! Well for the record, and speaking from the point of view of a retail employee, we should only be counting shopping days and the stores should be closed Mon-Fri and only open on the weekends. Thank goodness for the internet. I think I will start my shopping now. Amazon…here I come….:)
