Don’t Bug Me
I hate bugs. I mean, completely and utterly hate them. I remember that the only ep of Supernatural that bothered me, from either season, the one that gave me nightmares, was the one about the bugs. So in the case of Reaper on Tuesday night (CW, 9 pm ET) I tried not to look at them. I just don’t like being creeped out.
It was while I wasn’t looking at the screen that I noticed something. I heard Josie’s (Valarie Rae Miller) voice and I realized that she was Original Cindy. You know, from Dark Angel. I might have already told the Dark Angel story. I can’t remember. Anyhow, I never watched Dark Angel because I had this whole Whedon-centric issue where I couldn’t watch anything that might take away from any one of Joss’s shows. I didn’t even know what Dark Angel was about, I just didn’t like it cause of the name. Man, I’m such an idiot sometimes. Well, one night, as I sat on the couch wrapped in a blanket feeling kinda sleepy and blah, I caught part of this show on SciFi. Turns out it was the last ep of Dark Angel, so if I wanted to watch it, I had to do something drastic, cause who knew when it might be on again. So, I bought both seasons on DVD, really cheap, and watched them nearly straight through.
I liked it. It gave me something of the feel of Max Headroom (which they really should put out on DVD soon, cause that would be fun) and since I’m a big fan of end-of-the-world scenarios, it was right up my alley.
Plus, afterwards, I noticed that I had started calling my dog “Boo.”
