Gary’s Unmarried and Laura’s Unseen

by

What in the world is happening? What? Is? Happening? I mean it, how can this be? Look, I watched the second ep of Gary Unmarried this morning. As it turns out, I already watch two shows between 8 pm and 9 pm on Wednesday, Bones and America’s Next Top Model, so I can’t DVR or watch a third at the same time. So anyway, I had to watch Gary Unmarried on the CBS site, like last week, and as I will have to next week, should I decide to ever, ever watch it again.

Last week I was pleased that the show was simply humorously funny and not just about sex. I even overlooked the fact that the opening scene was Gary having sex with a woman he barely knew. I’ll never understand that. Why in the world does someone want to gave sex with a total stranger? If you ask me, that’s just completely icky. But I didn’t let it bother me cause I thought the show was funny otherwise.

Plus, I love Laura Marano. I thought she was great on Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, and I thought she got a bad deal when they just replaced her on Back To You without any notice or reason. But guess what?  They (who ever the heck they are) did it again. So I tuned in to Gary Unmarried this week and the part of his daughter Louise is now played by a little curly headed blond girl, Kathryn Newton.

What’s up with that? Seriously. Does anyone know, cause I just don’t get it.

  1. Allen Says:

I didn’t even know the Laura girl was on Gary Unmarried the first couple shows. I remember reading that she was put off of 5th Grader because her and the blonde girl Markie were not actually 5th graders at the time of that season, so that makes sense. All the ones since then have actually been 5th graders, and look it. The Markie and Laura girls did not look like 5th grade girls.

The fact Laura has now quickly been booted from another show, considering she’s a great actress, makes me think it has to be one of 3 things. 1: Her attitude sucks and she confuses her talent with some other great thing, 2: her mother or father or both is a monster and not worth having to deal with to have Laura on a show, or 3: her agent is a retard. Cause it’s suspicious how a talented actress that’s a cute little girl like her keeps getting booted off shows, 2 in less than a year. Ironically, back to you was canceled shortly after kicking her, so I wonder if Gary Unmarried will be here in August. :)
