How Wasted Am I?
I’ve been asking myself why I never get dressed up for Halloween and go to a party. I’m not sure what the answer to that is, but I’m thinking it might be the same thing that should have kept Leonard and company from going to Penny’s party on Big Bang Theory. Geeks just don’t necessarily fit in well in some social situations. Although, when it’s me, it’s not generally as funny as it was for them.
I especially liked Sheldon and his Doppler Effect costume. I loved it when he described studying the habits of other people like studying the habits of apes. (”How wasted am I?” “Dude!”) Sheldon is becoming one of my favorite characters to watch. He tends to completely steal any scene that he’s in.
Penny’s sloppy, drunken kiss and throwing herself in Leonard’s arms, I could almost have done without, not that I have anything against that happening, it just seemed like they forced it a bit. Or maybe like they just didn’t give it enough time to happen. I’m sure she won’t even remember in the morning! I feel good for Leonard, though, cause he did get a kiss and he was able to score one up on Kurt.
And I like that Leonard got to have the last word. Especially cause he was so adorable in his little Frodo costume. Also, I really wasn’t looking forward to his getting pummelled by Penny’s big, brawny ex.
This is really turning out to be just what I expect to see from a sitcom, light, frothy, funny and fun. Good job!
