Last Comic Standing

Last Comic Standing! Two hour season premiere, Wednesday June 13th 9/8c on NBC.

“For the first time ever in the history of the show, the Emmy-nominated series broadens its scope by searching internationally for the world’s funniest comedian. The fun kicks off with scouts Alonzo Bodden (season 3 winner), ANT and Kathleen Madigan (former contestant) traveling across the globe to find the best professional and aspiring comedians. They stop in London, Montreal and Sydney, Australia, before moving on to Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Tempe.?

I have been watching this show since the first season hit the air back in 2004. I love this show. I am quite excited for the new season. Nothing makes me happier then some fine stand up comedy. There is of course having to suffer through some of the very untalented, unfunny, contestants, but its well worth it when you witness the perfect delivery, and timing, from highly qualified unknown comedic geniuses.

While I miss Jay Mohr who posses the gift for slicing sarcasm, and the original host of Last Comic Standing, I am such a fan of Kathleen Madigan that I will watch this season just to hear what will come out of her mouth next. I am not normally a fan of women comedians. But Kathleen is one of my all time favorites. She is smart, sassy, quick, witty, intelligent and hilarious. I find myself quoting her, often. I can’t wait to see what new talent will be discovered this summer.

Laughing is all too needed on Wednesday nights to help get me over those midweek blues!

as a stand up comedian yourself, I’d think you would be eating this show out of the palm of your hand.

You (from the privacy of your own home) get to judge / ridicule all the would-be hopefuls you (and I know) are better than… I mean COME ON!

You of all people will LOVE this show!!

  3. JENNIFER Says:

This is something I would probably watch.

  4. Mark Jabo Says:

My friend Lori Chase, a comic from NYC, may actually be on this show but I can’t tell you that ’cause she can’t tell me that.

But I’d watch just in case….

    Her website is at:

She’s a great comic and a wonderful person!
