Not All Online Shows are Good
I feel asleep less than half way through last Friday’s episode of Sanctuary. That can’t be a good thing. I’m not even entirely certain what it was about. There was a cemetery and these creatures that were like death eaters or something, and then Will (Robin Dunne) goes into the crypt and somehow releases this green goo, which swirls around in a stone lock of some sort, and opens three stone coffins. Each coffin holds a beautiful young girl. At first, I was thinking some sort of ritual where they had drugged and hidden these girls, then maybe the three sisters of vampire lore, then witches.
I’m not sure what it turned out to be, though, cause as previously mentioned, I was sleeping. The acting, what I saw of it at least, was very stiff. Especially the three girls, who appeared to have been picked for their looks, or possibly because they knew someone, but certainly not for their acting skills. I really slept through the whole show. My poor husband, however, was not as lucky. What actually woke me up was him saying, “This show sucks!”
I’m fairly certain at this point that I won’t watch again next week, but you never know, I might weaken and end up giving it just one more chance.
In the meantime, I found another show that, like Sanctuary did, is starting out as an online show in front of a green screen. Unlike Sanctuary, however, IQ-145 is actually pretty good. There are presently 12 short episodes online to watch. I literally sat though all of them in a row, cause I thought it was that good and I highly recommend that you go see them, as well. Also, Thomas Dekker(Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) stars in this show, and he’s way cuter than Robin Dunne. I’ll be keeping a lookout for more eps and for this show to possibly find its way on to a network.
