Sarah Connor? I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me
I have to talk about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Anyone who was reading this blog or my other blog at watchingcw probably saw some stuff about the show last season. It came on in January of 2008 and had a short first season - only 9 episodes - because of the writer’s strike. I watched each and every one of those nine episodes, but I did it in a spirit of penance. I wanted to love the show, but I pretty much hated it. I wrote several blogs, probably one for each episode and I basically trashed it. I think there was maybe one scene out of all the eps that I actually said something good about.
Well, I’m taking it all back. I’m officially and publicly apologizing to the producers, the writers and the actors. If you want to read about that, here’s a link to another blog I wrote explaining what my problems with the show were and how I feel that all that was changed in Season 2.
Right now I want to talk about what an amazing episode aired this past Monday night. The title was “Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today.” Don’t ask me what that means or who the heck Mr. Ferguson is, cause I have no idea. But it doesn’t matter. The important thing is, if you haven’t seen this show, if you haven’t seen this episode of this show, you have to. I mean, right this instant, drop everything and go to the FOX website or to hulu, and watch it.
It was one of the most unbelievably awesome hours of television I’ve ever seen. I’m not kidding. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire time. As far as I’m concerned, it could have been three hours long and I would still have sat there, glued to the TV waiting to see what was going to happen next. I’m not gonna ruin even a minute of it by telling you what happened, just go watch it. Ideally, you’ll take the time to watch the entire series from the start. It’s not that much, only 17 episodes up to this week. I could do that in two days. Granted, I have no life, but even so, you should do it.
My only concern is how in the world they are gonna top that episode come next Monday. But I’ll be watching to see.

The title “Mr. Ferguson is ill today,” is a nod to the first words Cromatie spoke when he entered the classroom in the pilot episode.

Hi Corey! Thanks for the response. I’m not sure how I forgot that, especially since I just watched over all the eps recently. Suddenly, it all makes sense! Thank you!
