So, how was your holiday?

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Kwanzaa. I don’t know anyone who actually celebrates Kwanzaa so I did a little reading up and apparently it was started in America back in the 60’s (of course) as an alternative for people who were neither Christian or Jewish. It sounds a bit like Hanukkah, with several days of celebration and gift giving. Like the 12 Days of Christmas, only without all the birds.
It would be great to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, wouldn’t it? I mean, I get plenty of gifts, don’t get me wrong, but I’d love to just have off from work and celebrate from December 25 to January 6 every year. I hate working. I love my job, the one I have right now, but I do hate having to actually get up and get dressed and go to work every day. I’d rather be independently wealthy and just stay home in my pjs and clean and cook and be a housewife. Just not in heels and pearls like Mrs. Cleaver.
I did get some new DVDs (Moonlighting, Seasons 3-5, and Serenity Collector’s Edition), as well as a new TV and surround sound system . . . yay me!! So soon I’ll be able to talk about TV again. It’s been really difficult to find anything to talk about since nothing new has been on TV in a month.
I’m gonna do some research soon to see when the shows I watch are coming back, too, cause I think it’s soon. I hope its soon.
